Imer “Jean” Bolt

Imer Jean Bolt, a loved mother and grandmother with a zest for life and boundless creativity, passed away on April 12, 2024, at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. She was born in Georgia on January 30, 1937, to the late Louis Shirley and Lucy Crumpton Shirley.
Jean's career spanned various industries, including Becton Dickenson, Anmed WellSprings Treatment Center, and the daycare of her grandbabies. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel comfortable and welcome. Jean loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings. In her free time, she loved to work on puzzles and read her Bible.
Jean had a big heart that matched her smile. She believed in the power of relationships and leaving a lasting impact on those around her. Jean was always willing to lend a helping hand to those she cared about. Her welcoming personality drew people towards her naturally.
Jean leaves behind countless memories cherished by those fortunate enough to know her. She was the wife of the late Ronnie Bolt Sr. She is survived by her daughters Gloria Allen (Danny), Elaine Blevins (Billy), the late Gail Smith (Andy), and Lisa Bratcher (Doug), and her son Ron Bolt Jr. Jean was also blessed with 11 grandchildren — Stacy Major, Mitzi Scarborough, Latasha Norman, Jaime Allen, Jeremy Hendricks, Katrina Belk, Tracey Sutley, Ashley Arnold, Joshua Bratcher, Matthew Bolt, and the late Zachary Bolt; 19 great-grandchildren, including the late Stephen Wideman, and four great-great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. Jean had ten siblings and is survived by her siblings, William "Bud" Shirley of Belton and Joann McCoy Lowie of Belton. She had a strong sense of family and a special bond with each of them. Numerous others will deeply miss her.
A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 3:00PM, at Garden of Memories with Rev. Tim Edmands officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Memorials maybe made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital and Bethany Baptist Church.
Currently, the family is receiving friends at the home of 508 Fire Tower Road, Honea Path.
Jean has left behind a legacy of laughter, courage, and unwavering love for those closest to her. Though she may be physically gone, her spirit will live on through the memories she created with her family and friends. Let us honor Jean's memory by celebrating her remarkable life and the joy she brought into our lives.
May we always remember Jean as the vibrant soul who made every day brighter with her presence. She touched our lives in immeasurable ways, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts forever.
