Gaynelle Hooper Kay, 94, wife of Marvin Pruitt Kay, of 207 Palmetto Parkway Belton, died Saturday, April 20, 2024, at North Point Assisted Living in Anderson.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late James C and Minnie Lee Pierce Hooper. She was a member of Belton First Baptist Church and retired from textiles.
Surviving in addition to her husband is son Carroll Kay of Belton, and brother, David Hooper of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by Brothers; Alfred Hooper, James Hooper, Ezekiel Hooper, and Theron Hooper; Sisters, Adelle Medlin, and Aliene Dixion; Friend, Sue Buchanan.
Graveside services will be held 2PM Thursday, April 25,2024 at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran Park with Rev. Nick Kirby, Rev. Dale Lynch, and Rev. Bryan Bellotte officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to service Thursday from 12:00pm until 1:30pm at Cox Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made Church or Charity of choice.
